Camera Operating Love Supreme Jazz Festival

In July I was so happy to be operating for Love Supreme Jazz Festival down in Brighton. I’d already worked on a few shoots with the team at Bigabox Productions so knew that it was going to be great as per!

Our first day of the festival consisted of unloading an Arctic full of equipment and rigging all the cameras, feeds and mixing desk which was a fun one. We were using the BlackMagic Ursa’s on this job and despite there being a lot of kit, it wasn’t too much of a complex rig.

The next few shooting days were busy and long. I was lucky enough to see some great artists such as Grace Jones and Little Simz whilst filming, Grace Jones in particular was incredible to see.

On the final night I was given the beuatiful job of operating hand held in the pit between the 2m high stage and the crowd. It was back breaking and sweaty but I managed to pull off some great shots. We finally finished that night at 4am after de-rigging all the kit as well as the LCD screens around the stage.
